Fertility
Fertility testing can be stressful for a couple. In some
ways, you may feel optimistic -- perhaps you'll finally find out what is wrong,
which may bring you one step closer to finding a solution. On the other hand,
it's also normal to worry that you won't find out what's causing your
infertility, or you may be worried that the solution will be beyond your reach
financially.
Then, there is the waiting for the actual tests, then waiting for results. Some
tests are uncomfortable, like the HSG, and some tests may bring up feelings of
inadequacy or shame, like the semen analysis. And yet for others, the testing
phase is no big deal. (I don't know many people like this, but they exist!)
