Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital was inaugurated in December 1994 by the chairman and now the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Imran Khan. It is a project of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust established under the Societies Registration Act XXI 1860. Many young innocent lives are being saved at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. The inspiration of making such charitable organization like this came from the tragic death of the mother of Imran Khan from cancer.
